Mr. Luther has been in the commercial real estate business for over 25 years with experience in underwriting, capital markets, investment sales, development and acquisitions.  He began his career at Marcus and Millichap as a research analyst and grew into a top investment sales broker, representing investors/developers on the sale and refinancing of retail, medical, industrial, hospitality and multi-family assets. He represented a range of clients including institutional, family office, private equity as well as private interests. While at Marcus and Millichap, he was the market leader for the Houston and Fort Worth offices, mentoring and growing the investment sales team through technology, training, brand development, research and team architecture.  Over the course of his career, Mr. Luther has procured and sold over $1 billion in deals. 

Mr. Luther has worked with top developers including NewQuest Properties; one of Texas’ largest shopping center developers.  In partnership with NewQuest, he was responsible for creating their investment sales platform, including hiring and training brokers while sourcing development and acquisition opportunities.

Mr. Luther is a graduate of Southern Methodist University with degrees in real estate finance and mathematics. He is associated with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of Office Industrial Properties (NAOIP), Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) and National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC).  When David is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for his local baseball team, the Houston Astros.
